Took my car in with a transmission issue. They diagnosed a catalytic issue that was causing it. Fortunately, I had many people who told me that couldn’t be the case and to not fix that because it wouldn’t fix a transmission issue. I asked them to probe and after two additional days, four days of evaluation they told me it was a seal that needed to be replaced. It wasn’t the catalytic causing the issue. At this point, I should have realized that they are not able to diagnose the source of a problem correctly. That I truly regret. They charged me $1100 to change a seal in the transmission. That’s what is costs to rebuild a transmission, at that point it had been almost a week and I just needed to get it done, so I paid to do the job. My car went idle in the middle of the highway and I towed it back to them. All they changed was a $20 fuse and they charged me $330 for their “time” Less than one week later, I am having the same transmission issues. I called to find out what their warranty is, and they said they can only warranty the seal, not their diagnosis nor the job. I threw away $1000! I need to go elsewhere. They are not transmission savvy and they won’t even work with you on a bad diagnosis. They will charge you for absolutely anything and do not value repeat customers. I am writing this, because I really wish I would have read a review like this before I went to them. I do not recommend them at all.
Hi Kathy, At the times your vehicle was with us we were not able to replicate the issues arising within the transmission nor what was causing the fuse to blow. For these reasons and once everything was brought to my attention I decided it was best practice to refund what I could to you. I understand your concerns and after learning about the issues we had with diagnosing your vehicle I followed up and refunded you via check $990. While this does not equate the time you have spent without a vehicle, I wanted to be sure to help in anyway possible. I hope in the future you will change your mind as I always want our customers to trust they will be taken care of properly at my shop. Thank you again for bringing your grievances to my attention.
